Lesson Title: "Biblical Organization of the Church: Its Importance According to Scriptures"

Objectives:

  1. Understand the importance of church organization according to the Bible.
  2. Explore the roles of elders and deacons within the ecclesiastical structure.
  3. Reflect on the relevance of following the biblical model in church organization.

Duration: 40 minutes

  1. Introduction (5 minutes) a. Topic Presentation: "The Importance of Organization in the Church." b. Establishing the biblical foundation for ecclesiastical organization.

  2. Roles of Elders in the Church (10 minutes) a. Analyze Acts 14:23, 20:17,28 and Titus 1:5-7 regarding the appointment of elders in the church. b. Discuss whether the terms "Elder" and "Bishop" refer to the same office.

  3. Requirements for Elders (10 minutes) a. Explore 1 Timothy 3:1-7 to understand the requirements to be an elder in the church. b. Reflect on the gender, marital status, and spiritual experience conditions required.

  4. Roles of Deacons in the Church (5 minutes) a. Analyze 1 Timothy 3:8-12 to understand the role and requirements for deacons in the church. b. Discuss whether the terms "Bishop" and "Deacon" refer to the same office.

  5. Importance of the Biblical Model in Church Building (5 minutes) a. Explore Hebrews 8:5 and Matthew 15:13 regarding the importance of following God's model in the construction and organization of the church. b. Reflect on the consequences of deviating from the biblical model.

  6. Reflection and Conclusion (5 minutes) a. Encourage reflection on the importance of following the biblical model in church organization. b. Conclude by emphasizing the relevance of maintaining a structure and practices based on Scriptures for a healthy and steadfast church in its faith.
